Schapelle is not just a "Victim," she is a strong, proud and beautiful woman, who has always refused to lie about her innocence, despite the corrupt and powerful forces that desperately want to hide their filthy laundry under a false "Confession." She's a political prisoner.
Most women fighters have been sidelined, confined to the footnotes of history, the traditional scapegoats. How many have heard of Harriet Tubman, for instance? Read her graphic story, and understand our own power now, understand that her enduring courage, and total refusal to let others define her path, still lives in Schapelle, and in every one of us too.
But right now, Schapelle's lost her voice, that glorious fighting spirit has dimmed. Who knows what horrors she's experienced? So we must light the blaze for her. We're her voice. She's one of us, a child or grandchild, a sister, a niece, a friend - or even your truly. There but for the grace of God go us, and it's beyond time for the guilty ones to pay the price.
