Schapelle Corby beats Julia Gillard in the polls - A letter to Julia

Dear Julia,

On the 24th of June 2010, you were sworn in as Australia's first female Prime Minister - and in announcing the fact to over 1.2 million women readers on Monday 28th June 2010, New Idea Magazine thought Schapelle was a damn sight more interesting and important than you - as per this cover.

Now the magazine's latest poll about Schapelle in March 2013 puts her WAY ahead of your dismal performance, and their lead letter casts grave doubts on the safety of her conviction. And this is while your prioritisation of Indonesian people smugglers over Australian citizens is shared all over Facebook and Bob Carr's corruption cover-up is circulated to hundreds of thousands.

So here's another tip Julia, Schapelle's NEXT book will break sales records (as did her first), and outstrip any stale and dishonest memoirs you choose to pen - and YOU will be remembered as the Prime Minister who covered up the most sickening organised crime at Australian airports and wharves, refused to answer the questions - and refused to hold a Royal Commission.  History will damn you.

Regards, Kim
